Business Development, Senior Manager (KCI)
SUMMARY:
Responsible for securing new business and maintaining client relationships for the successful positioning of the company. Manages and evaluates new technical initiatives and business opportunities to leverage our wireless communications technologies and state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities. Provides strategic planning and contributes in setting corporate direction. Is responsible for market and distribution analysis, monitoring competitive activities, and identification of specific needs. Participates with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Drives company-wide cross-functional initiatives and projects from concept through completion.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors degree in Electronics/Software Engineering or in Marketing or equivalent experience, an advanced degree is preferred
- 8+ years experience in Business Development or Product Management in the telecommunications, electronics or software industries and 2+ years experience in project management or operations
- Excellent oral and written communications skills. Fluent in Japanese and Spanish languages is preferred.
- Preferred experience in establishing relationships and working with tier 1 wireless carriers.
- Professional and dynamic presentations skills
- Excellent large cross-functional project management skills PMI and/or PDMA certification a plus
- Ability to effectively negotiate large profitable business agreements at executive levels
- Excellent desktop applications and modeling skills
- Understand sensitivities in dealing with customers
- Excellent business acumen and understanding of corporate finance principles
- Excellent leadership skills and keen work ethic
- Able to work in an environment with quick changing priorities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs complete market analysis evaluations including both technological an business aspects; from technological feasibility studies to competitive landscape assessments and market growth potential
- Develops and promotes strategic plans to maximize companies profitability via cost reduction initiatives or establishment of new revenue streams
- Establishes corporate strategies and tactical plans for the launch of new technologies, markets or strategic plans
- Documents technological and market white papers on industry trends and opportunities
- Drives new technologies strategy and develops marketing plans for key new opportunities to ensure the implementation of strategic directions, typically over a 2 to 3 year timeframe
- Recommends, proposes, negotiates approval, and implements policies, procedures, or programs-may have to adapt plans to accommodate different cultures, business practices, or customs
- Maintains close relationships with the offices of senior, current and prospective customer and industry partners and suppliers
- Promotes technology and products at key business conferences and trade shows as well as to industry and financial analysts
- Works with the various departments to promote the company technology and products at the senior management level major customers
- Identifies, develops, negotiates and implements strategic alliances that support company objectives
- Responsible for other activities as needed
